OBSERVANDO que la resolución del Consejo relativa a la conservación y promoción del patrimonio cinematográfico europeo destacaba que, mediante el patrimonio cinematográfico, los ciudadanos, sobre todo los de las futuras generaciones, tendrán "acceso a una de las más notables formas de expresión artística de los últimos cien años, así como a un testimonio insustituible de la vida, costumbres, historia y geografía europeas", y de que la resolución recordaba, entre otras cosas, la naturaleza interdisciplinaria de los problemas en cuestión, la falta de formación profesional especializada y la índole transnacional de la respuesta solicitada;
NOTING that the Council Resolution on the conservation and enhancement of European cinema heritage emphasised that through the cinema heritage the citizens, in particular future generations, will "'have access to one of the most significant forms of artistic expression of the last 100 years and a unique record of the life, customs, history and geography of Europe" and that the Resolution recalled, among other things, the interdisciplinary nature of the problems involved, the absence of specialist vocational training and the transnational nature of the response demanded;
