– (IT) Señora Presidenta, he votado a favor del texto conjunto para mejorar la seguridad de los pasajeros que deciden viajar por mar. En mi opinión, sería importante añadir que se debería invertir más en la profesionalidad de todos los marineros a cargo de la navegación —desde el capitán, al ingeniero jefe, desde el contramaestre al sargento de marina, desde el timonel al resto de los marineros— porque la seguridad de los pasajeros depende de ellos.
– (IT) Madam President, I voted in favour of the joint text on improving safety for those who choose to travel by sea. I think it is very important to add that more should be spent on the professionalism of all seamen responsible for navigation – from the captain, to the chief engineer, to the boatswain, to the master-at-arms, to the helmsman and to all seamen – because the lives and safety of men at sea depends on them.
